After numerous years of tireless dedication and devotion to the role as President with the James Ruse Social Golf Club, President Andrew Fogerty confirmed the rumors last Sunday that he will be standing down as President elect at the end of this year.

A silence fell over the group as they processed in disbelief the somber words that were being spoken by the devoted and highly repsected President.

President Fogerty said something along the lines of "..............it is with a heavy heart that I tender my resignation as your President of The James Ruse Social Golf Club at the end of this year. It has been an honor and a priviledge to have served as President and although the decision was not an easy one to make, it is one that is best for the Club as it is time for some "new blood" to take control for 2016 and beyond......"

So, for any members with aspirations of a Presidential role along with all the trimings (i.e. 1st Group Guarantee) in 2016, do not be backwards in coming forwards so your nomination can be reviewed and presented to the Members. Once your nomination has been approved and accepted, President Fogerty will impart his years of knowledge and experience regarding the Presidents role within the Golf Club.

P.S. If you think someone within the club has the capacity to hold the role, have a chat to them about putting their hand up. You could also help out with a supporting role within the committee......(i.e. Vice President, Secretary etc).
